Welcome Address

Welcome Message from the Organizing Committee of the 2nd ICCN

Dear Colleagues:

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in the 2nd International Congress of Chinese Nephrologists (ICCN), to be held at the Taipei Marriott Hotel, December 8th through 10th 2017.

Our theme this year is “From Prevention to Innovation”. Chinese nephrologists all over the world have had great achievements in the past years, and this meeting provides a platform to exchange our experiences and get to know each other. Hopefully we can have more cooperation among all Chinese nephrologists globally.

According to the 2016 report of USRDS, the prevalence and incidence of ESRD in Taiwan is still the highest in the world. The Taiwan Society of Nephrology has been working hard to care for patients with chronic kidney diseases and to improve the quality of renal replacement therapy. We have many programs designed to improve not only the quality of dialysis centers, but also the proficiency of the nephrologists and nurses who administer treatments, and we have achieved good results in both quality of care and patient survival.

Taipei is a beautiful city of sun and tasty food, and is famous for its hospitality. We are sure that there will be plenty to give you an enjoyable stay in our city.

We look forward to welcoming you to Taipei in 2017.

Yours sincerely,

Chiu-Ching Huang and Chih-Wei Yang, Honorary Presidents
Hung-Chun Chen, Congress President
Kuo-Cheng Lu, Vice President
Chien-Te Lee, Scientific Chair
Jer-Ming Chang, Secretary General
